I am a terrible blogger. I hardly update and have probably lost my non-existent followers, so there is really no reason, except for that itch at the back of my head which keeps telling me to blog, one way or another. well, before I delve into any topic(college-related of course), I would like to wish all my Muslim friends a blessed RAMADHAN and may they take the full opportunity of this holy month to be at peace with Allah! It certainly is not the most important factor, but the bazaars and fireworks are, for the lack of a better word, significant to this month, so to my non-Muslim friends, may they take full use of THIS factor. No one, and I can assure you, NO ONE denies the greatness of Bazaar food. Or at least the atmosphere.
I think it's best if I talk about college and how it's been these past few weeks leading up to today, hardly to bore you, but to give you guys a glimpse of what really does happen in my college, which is in the middle of nowhere. REALLY! you would know if you've arrived if you see a toll without any cars. That's how deserted it is. At one point, you'd expect the Grim reaper to extend his skeletal hands and say, "Rm 1.50.."
and you pass through the gates of hell
:D I'm joking, obviously, because I'm not sure if it's just the excitement in the early stages, but I'm loving college, and the rush I get when it's 8.10 and classes start in 5 minutes time, and I'm still getting ready. And how after 7 months of almost complete nothingness, I'm suddenly catapulted into this sea of knowledge, and...
2 weeks laterHello again. It's a wonder how I managed to even write those few paragraphs during college, since I hardly took the time to visit the blog, let alone write anything. My induction week has been like a thing in the past, and although we still feel very much a junior, I can safely say I've settled in perfectly. It took some time to get use to being away from my family for the first time during Ramadhan, but all is well( in honour of the late HP series-I'll talk about it some other time, REMIND ME!) It's already the last 10 days of Ramadhan. and honestly, this year's Ramadhan has been pretty challenging, and just feels different a bit. Oh, well, I guess that's life.Adaptation is key.

I don't regret at all being in KY, so don't take my following sentences too seriously.THE COLLEGE SCHEDULE IS GETTING ON MY NERVES.no, really, when classes are from 8-4 every day( skipping of classes memang tidak akan berlaku selamanya mainly because the teachers are never NOT around), with tutorials, the need to fit in an exercise regime, all the house meetings and club activities, one needs to have god-like time management skills to get through( HAHA and it's me we're talking about, Ketua Pengawas who sometimes come late to school during Form 5). And at the end of the day, when all is done, I would return to my chalet to see my bed, all prim and proper, just calling my name, before I am reminded of the tons of homework left to be done. Hehh, I suppose it's Ramadhan, the timing is a little bit off in everything, and hopefully it'll get better once Raya is over. But come to think of it, I didn't know where the past 3 weeks went. Ramadhan is sooo fast this year, when I'm breaking fast one evening, I sometimes subconsciously think of what I'm going to eat during the next breaking of fast( tsk tsk.)
Ooh but, I got to say, buying of books was undoubtedly fun :)
i am getting stuck at trying to explain in detail about everything, so I'll just narrow down some of the college events that has been happening during the month of Ramadhan.
Well, first there was the sponsor video shoot( yes, we're cool like that, haha). Found out on that day that we have to do this group interview/fake studying video for a Berbuka Puasa dinner event a week later. We all ended up skipping our entire class from 12 pm onwards ( the only exception, trust me!)
Pn. Su was there to see it through, and to get a hold on how we juniors were doing for the first few weeks. It already feels like a small family, really :) we kid around and chatted before everyone had to go for a make-up session-not exaggerated, I kid you not. But I suppose the best part of hanging out with them was when a super senior( the term we use to refer to seniors who have left college -_-") came to join in the fun. I probably won't write his name here in case he is the self-goggling type and i can now just hope that he doesn't tumble upon this post, but MashaAllah, the path of which he is studying now is almost exactly similar to what I want, and hopefully, will be able to achieve, InsyaAllah.
Aiman: Hey, so where are you studying again?
M: In Uni of Oxford.
(I lit up a bit inside)
Aiman: Oh, what course are you doing?
M: Engineering, Economics and management (EEM)
( I shrieked a bit, i think. One of my dream course, SUPER TOUGH)
Aiman: When you were in KY, what subject combo did you do?
M: Oh, lets see, Phys, Chem, Econs, and Maths
( By the time he said that, I was SUPER SUPER ELATED, because for as long as I've been here, all the alumnus I have talked to said that it was nearly impossible to get into Oxf. without Further Maths, and when i was about to let go of the dream and settle for something less, he brought back that spark, although...)
Aiman: So, how did you fare in your A-Levels?
M: erm, I got 4A*
(Dies a little inside. It goes to show that it's quality, and not quantity-or in this case, further maths. NVM, self belief, self belief. I CAN DO THIS!)

Btw, that's my Physics teacher, Dr. Foord, the one standing on the far right. A little bit quirky, but pretty awesome really :)
I would talk about the event in full detail soon, but all in all, I had such a wonderful time with all my parents and with my KY friends, and it was refreshing to get some really good food after experiencing many days of buka puasa in KY.
Oh, and did I mention I joined the Culinary Arts Club? Well, I did, and it's been really great so far, especially when it comes to eating. It isn't my group's turn to cook yet( we're scheduled to be heading to the kitchen on October 21st) so, for now, it's been eating different kinds of food cooked by other groups. And might I say, they have all whipped up delicious EDIBLE food.
Dr. Bano, our advisor. I made her promise to teach me how to make Idlis before I leave KY :D
Some of my friends cutting the surprisingly good Kek Batik.
This isn't much, and time is limited to begin with, so for now, this is all I could write to just remove the dusts that's been accumulated from all the blogless days. this is the last week of Ramadhan, and I'm just now counting to the day when I will be able to go home, and get into my festive spirit with my family and hometown friends.6 days to go !
