Jayshree's farewell party

This is it. College is starting tomorrow. I really don't know how to feel right now. The only matter I can actually think of is that by the time tomorrow comes, aiman-farhan.blogspot.com will become slightly empty, not to mention me foreseeing the prospect of each future blog post on college, college, and college. haha. So, might as well i use this free time that I have now since I've completed packing for tomorrow( so-so only lah actually) to tell you about the things I've been doing.

You see that girl standing beside me in the picture above? Yes, that's Jayshree, and why she's here is because last Saturday, I was invited to her farewell party. She's leaving to India to further her studies in god knows what- kidding, but I'm really not that sure, IT/Engineering?- so, I wasn't going to miss the chance to see her before she leaves for the land of Chapati, and besides, there'll be many Melawatians that I haven't seen for months prior.

(If you noticed, after years of being clueless on how to enlarge photos on Blogger, I finally found a simple effective solution!!)

Met so many people that day, including friends from TARc, BAC, Taylor's, HELP, etc so you could imagine the awkwardness every time I start chatting with someone:-

Friend: So, started college already?
Me : Nope, next Tuesday
Friend: Oh, where are you going to?
Me : KYUEM
Friend: Err, sorry?
ME : KYU... oh, never mind, it's a college in Perak.
Friend: Oh, right!

I can't blame them, seeing before the whole scholarship/college talk rendezvous started, I didn't know a zilch about the college.

There was food and good company, so no doubt it was such a fun night. Was kinda bummed halfway when I realized I don't have much in common with the group of people present since we rarely meet up, only now and then occasionally. Case in point: The last time I met Jayshree, I was on my way to get a haircut 0.0

Throughout the party, Nicole was still bitching about how I ditched them every time they had an outing in previous months. And to think I was genuinely busy doing something or really tired after doing something. You get the point.

BY 11.00, most of them went back home( By driving their cars, of course *jealous*) and for a moment, I kept thinking to myself, "Wait, don't these people usually do the whole party all night long and I am the one who goes back early?" but realized that we, or them at least, are already in their college phase of life, so there's the coursework, homework, exams, revisions to go back to.

Some of us continued chatting, asking Jays about her university, her future degree, and telling her to be extraaaa careful of the traffic in India :)

So Jays, if you do happen to come across this, you are such a good friend and it's been so wonderful to know you( God, this is sounding like an eulogy) especially the great times we had at the back of the class in 4 Efektif together with Komal, Nicole, and Jer Rick. Oh, crazy crazy times! I wish you all the best for the adventure of your life in India and hope to hear from you soon! I know you'll do all of us proud! :) See you in October!

and *ehem* if you eventually start working in Apple after a few years, I would require a discount.

:D
