Yesterday :)
I'm not a hypocrite. So, i won't dismiss social networking as a main part of my life nowadays. And it's probably true to whoever who's reading this. Waking up early in the morning, besides prayers, the first few thoughts that come to my head are the messages on my phone or any status updates. Or, heck, talking to Denise on twitter, since she's ALWAYS the earliest there( college girl, pfft.haha) Gone are the days where we snail mail each other, and replaced by things like Face Time. The biggest advantage to all this, is that when you get so attached to talking online ie: Facebook,Twitter, Friendster(wha?), or even MSN, you don't really interact with the person face-to-face anymore. Worse, if you meet some random new friend online, and start building a friendship through this medium, you start to wonder how far it can possibly go without you feeling so awkward to meet that person in real life.
Scenario: You coincidentally meet someone, somewhere you know in KL out of the blue, and you gaze in each other's eyes for a split second, but you never start a conversation until you reach back home, and Fb him/her, " Was that you in KLCC/Pavilion/Times Square/ Low Yat just now/? Hi!"
Case in point.
Which brings me back to the whole networking issue. it's awesome to have a million 'friends', but nothing beats sitting down at a cafe with a few friends, having light snacks, and laughing at just the stupidest things in the world ie Haunted Doors. Seriously, I had such a good time yesterday. I can safely say, I'm not a movie person anymore.Sure, cinemas are great and all ( coming from a hater of 3D movies) but, when I go out, I despise the thought of spending 2 hours in a closed up area rather than talking. I'm a talker, Deal with it! :D And at night, had dinner with the parents, and wrapped up the day with two episodes of Modern Family. Good times!
Off for now, friends coming over to the house to discuss some stuff. Bye!
